Entering the path of autognosis (self-knowledge), one of the first findings that one is called to realize is that the real causes of his emotional agitations are within them and that the external events are simply the reasons.
They are then called upon to take action in order to clarify and distinguish their emotional reactions from the external reasons.
This is a very difficult and very painful process.
But when they get to the point of separating the causes from the reasons, then their adult part will dominate their life.
They will then be called upon to go through an even more difficult stage. The pain without any external reason.
Here the pain is real, but inexplicable, because the individual can’t even recognize an apparent reason.
Maybe if the individual is honest with themselves and searches deep inside, they will discover that the real cause of this pain is the annulment of their primordial Love.
In this very difficult phase of autognosis (self-knowledge), only the esoteric path can help.
It offers us purpose, vision and a real mission.
A tool for the Pythagoreans is the virtue of selfless charity.
It is the virtue through which they offer Love without expecting anything in return;
so that they can offer Love, without the risk of it being annulled.

Pain
Upon entering the Path of Self-awareness, one of our first concerns is to learn to act and behave as adults.
When this has been understood and achieved, a strange thing happens.
The more we try to keep our adult attitude, the more outside causes come to trigger our child part once again.
The truth, of course, is different. Facts are neither responsible for this nor planned to lead us to an emotional regression.
The truth is that our child part tends to keep near the parent and this is what leads us to get involved in such situations. Yet, we are expected to remain adults if we still wish to remain on the Spiritual Path.
However, this adherence to our adult part makes our child part experience rejection and frustration and, thus, pain.
Our child part is unaware of the fact that it is us who don’t let it follow its intended course, namely the desperate pursuit of the parent.
So, when we deprive it of that, it feels someone is rejecting it and this is painful.
Still, this has to be done for the sake of our spiritual course.
After all, if we leave our child part to follow the course it desires, the result will be unavoidable rejection or frustration, since this situation has been chosen by the child part itself in order to repeat that familiar psychic parental introjection.
If, however, we prevent it from moving towards that direction, it will feel pain on the one hand, but, on the other, our (adult + Spiritual) self will have made another step towards its manifestation.
It is, therefore, important to make room for the pain caused by the adult rejection of our child drive because it is this Pain which proves that we are walking as we should on our Spiritual Path.
We should be very careful about what adult rejection/frustration means.
An adult attitude never entails a rejection of any one of our parts. It always entails consciousness, acceptance and understanding, despite the fact that the child part is not allowed to take the reins of our life.

It is very important that we are always on alert and never founder in the mire of fear, sorrow, force of habit or intransigence.
When found in situations that we consider renunciative or frustrating, we are asked to act and not freeze in withdrawal.
Every adult has to be able to take rejection as well as frustration and move on in life always keeping contact with the here and now of the moment.
An even more advanced level of consciousness is the avoidance of rejection or frustration. Practically, this means that when our adult part realizes that a situation in which the child inside us has the tendency to drive us is renunciative or frustrating, then we should avoid it altogether.
Always keeping contact with the here and now.
The result of this is that we do not experience rejection or frustration.
However, there is still another state which is hard to attain, even though it is so important.
This is the state of provocation. It is possible that a situation beneficial to our psychic and intellectual level is mantled with rejection or frustration and, more specifically, with the mask of challenge.
In one such case, first of all we have to be absolutely sure that it is a provocation, because if it isn’t, we run the risk of plunging in idleness.
Therefore, if we are sure that this is a challenge and not a renunciative or frustrating situation, then we are called to develop the utmost Intellectual Virtue of Patience.
In fact, having learnt through introspective work and pain to react, it is very hard for us to remain actively patient in provocative situations.
Having spent a lot of energy in order to act, we are now asked to be patient.
The reaction of our entire psychic system is completely normal.
It is very important that we are always on alert and never founder in the mire of fear, sorrow, force of habit or intransigence.

Light
Light of Truth
It is a fact that both the Psychic and the Mental Truth is always before our eyes.
Not only the Cosmos which is expanding to infinity but also the world surrounding us, beginning with our own body, are a mirror of the Truth which we pursue and have a hard time discovering.
Of course, the fact that we do not face the Truth is no coincidence.
This happens because It is so painful that It can harm us.
To avoid the pain of facing It directly, we have developed the defense mechanism of denial.
No matter how clearly circumstances tend to reveal us the obvious, we still see what we want or better what we can bear to see.
If we decide to escape denial and face It, it’s like looking straight at the Sun.
The Sun’s harsh light will hurt us or even blind us. For this reason, it is necessary to approach the Truth with small steps which can strengthen the eyes of our souls so that they can take the pain of looking straight at the Light of Truth.
It is a fact that both the Psychic and the Mental Truth is always before our eyes.

New Light
One of the Attributes of the new Light is to Revitalize anything old. Another of its attributes is to reveal anything it is hidden.
The new Light reveals anything that is hidden, either because it is by itself hidden or because our Conscious or Unconscious blindness does not allow us to see it, while it is visible in front of our eyes.
When the new Light penetrates our Blindness and reveals that we do not want to or can’t bear to see, it then aches our eyes and our Souls.
When the new Light reveals to us that we don’t want to or can’t bear to see, it is our decision the Action we will take.
Could it be that we will decide to perceive and realize what the new Light present to us or we will remain in our blindness?
If our decision is to see it, then we should be prepared, that we will be asked to tolerate the Pain of the revelation of the Truth.
Obviously, the pain is not pleasant at all and not desired, but it is a pain that comes from the viewing of the Truth, through Illumination, caused by the new Light. Besides, the viewing of the Truth, at every Level, is painful.
The viewing of the Truth is painful, but at the same time contains great – inseparable joy. Inseparable joy because in a Psychic Level is Mature; while in a Spiritual Level is Heavenly – Transcendental.

Mother Nature
Mother Nature is doing her work.
The Created Creation will be treading in all Eternity.
If us mortals are honest with ourselves and are in reconciliation with our Human perishable existence, then joy will be filling our Heart.
Though, if we mortals try to replace our high internal human values with terrestrial self-annulled pleasures, then Pain will dominate in our Soul because these self-annulled delights, by their nature, leave a sense of unfulfillment that can never be satisfied.
The constant participation in the Mysteries provides Consciousness.
Consciousness leads to the Knowledge of cause and effect.
Knowledge provides Happiness.
In a personal Level, the Initiatic year helps us to prove the persistence of our decision to move on the Spiritual path.
Every second unconscious psychic aspects swoop in to convince us to go awry.
They pounce because if we remain steady in our course they are condemned to be dissolved.

Practical Application
The turning from unconsciousness to consciousness is not just a philosophical view – post – theory.
Each Initiatic knowledge must become action, both in our esoteric path as well as in our everyday life.
Our place to the spiritual path is proven by the practical application of the initiatic knowledge-truth and not by our title which remains inactive if the is no tangible proof of our possession of knowledge.
A simple realization, without actual correction, is not enough because it maintains active the erroneous situation.
Persistence to our mistakes is a sign of immaturity and clearly a disharmonic life attitude. Especially when this persistence affects the lives of other people.
Each Initiatic knowledge must become action, both in our esoteric path as well as in our everyday life.
Our place to the spiritual path is proven by the practical application of the initiatic knowledge-truth and not by our title which remains inactive if the is no tangible proof of our possession of knowledge.
